Mayer Hawthorne
I'm loving this right now. I had a chance to see him at Chop Suey for the Stones Throw tour. I had never heard or seen him before that show, so when this white guy with glasses and a bow-tie got on stage, I was skeptical. Then he started to sing, proceeding to blow not only my mind, but everyone else in the audience as well.
I think I have a weakness for falsetto.

Pink and Blue
My sister is having a baby girl due in July, one of my best friends is having a boy in August, my Aunt and Uncle are adopting a baby girl from China, one of my business partners is having a baby in February, and one of the RPS crew is having a baby in October. This song (which is so good) has been stuck in my head all day.

Hope I’m Ready, Able To Make My Own Goodbye
I'm just soaking up everything Grizzly Bear/Department of Eagles related until I see them in Portland at the Aladdin Theatre.

Finally
After essentially having Radiohead on repeat from my days in college up to now, I finally got a chance to see them live. Despite the 4.5 hour commute, 4 hours of which were comprised of sitting in traffic not moving, I couldn't of had a better experience.
Here are some crappy iPhone photos of the amazing stage setup.

I was also lucky to stumble upon this digicam recording of Thom doing Faust Arp, but forgetting the lines halfway through. It made the performance all the more real.

Why?

Yesterday I took the opportunity to use the Why? show as my first real test of my new lens. Overall I'm pretty happy with it, and anticipate using it as my work horse lens because of the type of environments I like documenting.
Going to an all ages show is not good thing if you don't like to be reminded of how old you're getting.
