RPS New Era's

Really excited about our new RPS New Era caps. They'll be available in the shop on Friday, December 26 and then online the following Monday. They feature a varsity style RPS logo on the front, and "RPSLIFE" script on the back. Only 36 of each color were produced!

Good Food and Friends

Saturday night we ignored all the warnings about driving around in Seattle's Blizzard of '08 and went out to celebrate Adrien's 29th birthday at Crush. The food was amazing—finally had the chance to enjoy fois gras as it was meant to be— dinner with friends is always good, and driving a front wheel drive car with no chains in ice and snow made for a very interesting (rallycross anyone?) ride home.

Progress!

A cold draft in the house convinced me to get away from my laptop screen and finish the insulation phase of my spare bedroom project. Once I finally got the insulation in place, I installed drywall, starting with the ceiling (with help from my dad), then worked my way down to the exterior and attic facing walls so that cold air would no longer leak in, or warm air leak out.



Up next is to add sound insulation for the interior wall, sheetrock, then mud/tape/sand. 20 degree weather can be a great motivator when it comes to finishing remodeling projects.

The Grid System

Antonio Carusone, designer, blogger, and RPS customer, has just launched The Grid System. An "ever-growing resource where graphic designers can learn about grid systems, the golden ratio and baseline grids."

I love resources like this one, that focus on one topic, consolidate as much information as possible about that topic and filter it down into an organized, easily digestible structure. Nicely done!
